Operation Arctic Lynx
Operation Arctic Lynx (OAL) is a partnership-driven field demonstration of IridiumĀ® and Iridium ConnectedĀ® technology, primarily focused above 60 degrees north latitude and stretching as far as 82 degrees north latitude.
Over a two-plus week period, from 11 June to 26 June, 2021, OAL includes an international contingent of more than 20 organizations ranging from the United States Department of Defense to scientific research institutions. A variety of exercises will take place deploying Iridium and Iridium Connected weather-resilient satellite communications technology on-base, on-the-move and remotely from the field.
During OAL, Iridium satellite PTT, unattended sensors, Iridium CertusĀ® broadband, 4K SolutionsĀ® GSCKā¢ and other capabilities will display real-time interoperability, communications-on-the-move, command-and-control and develop and maintain a common operational picture for military, civil and NGO applications.
