4K Solutions a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Company (SDVOSB) continues to deliver ahead schedule for our US Army customer’s contract for 550 of our custom 4K Mobile Broadband Kits (MBK).
We have worked tirelessly with our OEM partners and suppliers to ensure we are getting components to allow our team to build, test and ship quickly!
The 4K Solutions Mobile Broadband Kits will be used with existing US Army GRIPP systems to add a 3G/4G/LTE or Wireless as a WAN back haul capability.
Background: We originally designed the MBK for the Hurricane Hunter team from NOAA and when our US Army PMO customer took a look at the package it was exactly what they were looking for. The MBK is a complete solution that leverages COTS and was low cost.
We partnered and worked closely with the DoD team at CradlePoint Technology which enabled us to leverage their best of breed mil-spec rugged IBR1100 series mobile broadband routers. We coupled this with the Sherpa 100 portable battery power system from GoalZero to enable our customers to leverage a myriad of power options, from 110/220 vac, 12 vdc or solar panels (optional).
