4K Solutions was contacted by a Joint DoD customer who had an immediate requirement for a Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) deployable networking solution.
4K teamed with Information Assurance Specialists (IAS) to leverage their Small Tactical Executive WAN communications solution (the IAS STEW).
We also added a Sherpa 100 from GoalZero to provide a small portable DC battery solution for remote and mobile operations.
The IAS STEW has been designed to support users who utilize traditional Type 1 HAIPE devices for access to classified networks OR users who desire to leverage the National Security Agency’s (NSA) Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) process. The IAS STEW incorporates an IAS Router and a Cisco 5915 Embedded Service Router (both of which are NSA CSfC APL listed) in a single device, supporting Government and Military CSfC
users who need to access classified networks outside of their typical enterprise operational environment yet do not want the operational burden of using Type 1 CCI devices. Weighing in at 3.9 lbs and measuring 10.8” wide by 8.2” deep by 2.0” tall, the IAS STEW provides a BLACK router, a RED router, and a power subsystem to provide power to third party outboard devices (such as Type 1 crytpo devices). The IAS STEW is a completely self contained, WAN technology flexible, portable communications solution with enough routing flexibility, processing power, and portability to make any Communicator’s job an “Easy Day”.
