4K Solutions®, has been awarded and delivered to a US Federal Law Enforcement Agency a contract to provide multiple Mobile Radio Gateways (MRG) to support the customer’s ability to “push” Land Mobile Radio (LMR) traffic from the field back to their headquarters over the First Responder Network Authority – FirstNet® cellular network.
4K Solutions® in collaboration with our partners AT&T FirstNet® and Cubic Corporation provided the integrated portable hand-carry MRG’s radio gateway systems for use in the field ensuring law enforcement radio traffic is delivered to their higher headquarters and other agencies.
The transportable MRG’s leverage the Cubic Corporations Vocality RoIP (Radio over IP) which helps bridge the gap between disparate radio types, building a single unified radio system with Push-To-Talk connectivity, no matter the radio brand, frequency or technology. Suitable for use in a wide range of markets including emergency services, energy production and defense, Cubic’s RoIP solution provides the connectivity for Push-To-Talk radio devices to IP and cellular networks.
The federal law enforcement agency utilizes the FirstNet®, Built with AT&T network for their MRG’s. FirstNet®, Built with AT&T is the only network built with and for first responders and those who support them. It’s designed to fit their unique and evolving communications needs with transformative mission critical solutions to modernize public safety. Reliable communication is vital to ensuring they can do their jobs at keeping us safe. The FirstNet® network system strictly employs industry standards for cellular technology to maximize interoperability with commercial smartphone and modem devices. All standard 4G LTE security and authentication procedures are implemented to ensure the connections are secure.
